The one-time business spouse of former Mayor Richard Daley&rsquos son who was ensnared in a federal minority contract investigation has pleaded guilty to lying to the FBI about his failure to disclose two important investors in a sewer firm that received metropolis operate.

According to his plea agreement with the government, Duffy initially instructed agents in March 2008 that his failure to disclose details to the metropolis about the two traders was owing to his &ldquocarelessness and negligence.&rdquo

Neither Daley nor Vanecko have been billed, and they have been not determined by title in the plea agreement.
